My mom is the only one I have trusted to look after Fred & Kirby for 10 years, until both mom & I were going on a trip. Lisa was referred to me and now I don't think twice about having her look after my two girls (and now the new dog!!)! They just loved her and were a little put out when I came home!! Thanks, Lisa, for watching over my babies!

Hi Lisa,
I just thought I'd let you know (since I had mentioned it a few times in class) that we had to put one of my dogs down. I had mentioned in class that Sargent (Sarg) was very sick with lymphatic cancer and sadly he got to the point where it was just cruel and selfish to keep him alive. I don't know if it was divine intervention or what but I was originally going to wait and take your course in May which would have been a while after he was put down. This would have meant I would not have received your hand out regarding grief (the handout that included the poem about an animal that dies and the sadness we feel). A poem that also helped encourage me to believe what I already knew, that it was the right thing to do, despite the sadness wavering my feelings on it.
So thank you SOOOO MUCH for including that in your course, especially since it is a strong fact of life that we will all encounter this horrible, and extremely hard experience at some point. It truly was the HARDEST thing I have ever had to do, as my animals really are like children to me. I have attached a couple pictures of him if you'd like to see him!
Again thanks so much.
Sara
Don't know that I have a story exactly, but you guys are our life line. You are the reason we have two well behaved and balanced dogs. I know that I can always count on you to take such good care of our animals, week after week. You treat our dogs like they are your own and I completely and totally trust your crew. Lena sits on the couch on the weekend, hoping that you are coming to get her. Even our cats love you and they are normally not that keen on other people.
Thanks for everything,
One very happy customer
Rocky, our treasured "SPCA special" dog, had various issues, including troublesome stomach ailments, and a couple of quirky attitude problems. When he was first adopted as an adult dog during my university years, I had many hours to spend with him on long walks. Then he spent some time attending doggie day care while I worked during the day. Eventually the day care atmosphere became too chaotic for the more mature and independent Rocky, and so I turned to Lisa at Walks 'N' Wags on a friend's recommendation.
I enrolled Rocky in one on one private walks with tremendous results for Rocky's health and happiness, and my peace of mind. As result of the increased exercise, plus the skilled attention of Lisa and her staff each and every day, Rocky became much less stressed and cranky. He adored his walkers and looked forward to his afternoon stroll with great anticipation.
As he aged, Rocky grew ill, arthritic and slowed down, and Walks 'N' Wags never failed to adjust their visits to suit his needs. I was reassured every day that a trustworthy Walks 'N' Wags team member was looking in on him, particularly when he was ill and as his health declined.
Rocky lived to be nearly 15 years old. One thing I know for sure is that the kind and consistent attention, exercise, and love bestowed on him by the Walks 'N' Wags team extended Rocky's life and dramatically improved its' quality. We are grateful to Lisa and her team, and will be definitely be turning to Walks 'N' Wags for care and training of our next canine family member.

At first Frank was a bit shy about joining the Walks 'N' Wags group, but it didn't take long for that to change! Now when they arrive Frank can't wait to get into the car and see his friends.
He used to try to navigate the puddles during the walk because he is so low to the ground, but now he isn't scared of them at all and he ploughs right through!
When Frank gets home he has a snack and then a well deserved nap.

Lisa, we have known each other from when you first started your company. There was something about you that I knew I could trust and indeed you and your team have provided excellent care of my pet, Darby.
I recommend you all over the place. Attached is a picture of Darby. He rules.
Best regards, Pat
My four-legged furry son has been in the family since he was seven weeks old: over fourteen years. Like any senior citizen he has his “up” days and his “down” days. He has more special needs, and our friends at Walks ‘N’ Wags get more special requests than I can keep track of. In spite of all the extra attention T-Bone needs the Walks ‘N’ wags team has never let us down. We have never had a concern with any of the caring staff who come to help out when we need some walking assistance. T-Bone is always well taken care. On the odd occasion that we are home when the walker arrives I swear T-Bone is more excited at the prospect of walking with the Walks ‘N’ Wags team member than he is walking with me when I come home from work! This is truly amazing, and a testament to how well he is taken care of, as it takes a lot for two-legged creatures to impress T-Bone.
Cheers, Dawn
The team at Walks ‘N’ Wags are MARVELOUS!! They have been coming to my home to look after my kitties for at least four years now. My cats are senior citizens and require a lot of special attention and TLC. These wonderful people do more than look after the little furry kids....they check my mail, water my plants and keep EVERYTHING looking GREAT for my arrival home. They help me to feel at ease when I have to travel because I know my kitties are in excellent hands. One time when I was away in Europe, my entry lock to my apartment broke! Lisa could not get in. When she finally reached my Manager, he took the door knob off and had to have it replaced. She was able to finally feed my porky old Banjo and the lovely slender Special K. We were all VERY grateful for her quick thinking and tenacious behavior!!!! I don't know what I would do if these wonderful people and their amazing company didn't exist!! I can't express how truly lucky the kitties and I are to have this team in our lives!
Very Sincerely, Lawrie
You may not be able to tell from just looking at us, but we BOTH have special needs. While our mom doesn't like to leave us alone for too long, she knows that we will be in good hands with Walks 'N' Wags. Lisa has been coming to take care of us for over two years now. She gives us lots of attention and brings us treats. Although we may not like it when our mom is gone, we at least get to stay in our own home, play with our own toys, and sleep in all our favourite spots (even the ones we aren't supposed to sleep in). We certainly appreciate all that Walks 'N' Wags has done for us over the years. Thank you so much.

When I am travelling or away for a full day sailing or visiting, I have used Walks 'N' Wags' services. Whether Lisa or one of her walkers comes, we can go for our break happy in the knowledge that the dogs have been walked and then put in the house for the evening after being fed. If we are travelling then we have a house sitter stay here and also have Walks 'N' Wags come in to help with the dogs. We feel assured that the dogs are receiving their daily walk in a safe and happy manner. We have been very pleased with Lisa's services at Walks 'N' Wags.

As a reporter for CBC Radio I have to travel a lot, and often with very little notice. It has been a huge relief to me (and my cats) to know that I can call Lisa and know that she will come to the rescue. The most horrific instance came last January when I got a phone call on a Saturday afternoon and was told there had been an avalanche in Revelstoke and several young teenagers were missing. I had a 1/2 hour to get to the airport to catch a charter plane. As we sat on the runway, I suddenly realized I had made no arrangements for Sam, Murray and JD. I left a panicked message on Lisa's answering machine. By the time we landed, there was a message on my cell - Lisa saying don't worry, she'd look after them and just to call when I got back. What a relief. And I know my cats adore her and her staff - they always just glance at me when I come home - no loneliness or missing me at all! Then there's the other story where poor Lisa went above and beyond the call of duty. I was in Halifax and a friend was staying in my condo over the holidays. She dropped my keys down a sewer grate, and called me in a panic. All I could think of was my cats wondering why no one was arriving to feed them (and they love their food!) I told my friend to call Lisa and explain the situation - I called Lisa to confirm what was happening. She met my friend at my door and handed over her set of keys. It was then I though "hmmmm, my cat sitter is more reliable than one of my dearest friends!"

Lisa and the gang at "Walks 'N' Wags" have been very instrumental in helping me rehabilitate my nervous and occasionally dominant dog. Charli has now graduated from one on one walks to group walks and even gets to play off-leash with her new canine pals. It's so nice to know that she's handled by people who understand her lack of "sandbox skills" and who still love her anyways!!! Thanks guys!!

For over 2 years, you and your team of animal experts have come to visit our funny cat "Chico". We are very attached to him and he is likewise, attached to us. Since he often tries to get in trouble, we were worried when we embarked on our first long vacation. We tried a lovelycat hotel that had trained staff. Poor Chico did not like being away from his own home and comfy environment. While I am sure cat hotels work for some, Chico is clearly not amused at the prospect of being "inconvenienced".
Upon recommendation from our Vet, the next time we tried you! From the first day, you approached Chico with a gentle, patient, non-threatening manner. He took to you right away, sensing no doubt that you were "alright" with him. When we arrived home, Chico was not only healthy, but very happy. He was his usual self and other than wondering was might be in the suitcases for him, he was up to his old tricks. We knew all was well when upon you returning our key, Chico gave you the big roll-over and purr.
Your team is discreet, professional, and respectful of our worries. Because our pets are members of our families, it is hard to leave them with those you don't "know". We recommend you to all who are concerned about what to do with their cat when they travel. We thank you for all your help and understanding and hey, it is nice to know someone will put ice cubes in his daily water dish while we are away! What can we say, he likes cold water!!!

Lisa and her gang are GREAT. Recently we needed help when a family member was taken to the hospital. We did not have a walk scheduled for that day. I called and left a message. Lisa called me right back and had arranged for her staffperson Lynn to take him for a private walk after work. It was a relief to know that we could go straight to the hospital and Rebus would still get his walk. I highly recommend Walks 'N' Wags to anyone.

I must say that I have only ever left my cats with family members. And at that, only with the few I feel would care for my kitties as deeply as I do. You were the first non-family member to care for my cats. You definitely experienced my 'worried-mommy' syndrome. Especially after Fluffers passed away and I had to leave Whiskers alone for the first time in her 14 year old life. I must say that after coming home from a weeks vacation, seeing Whiskers' well brushed fur, calm demeaner, and my clean home I was so impressed I have not stopped sharing my pleasurable experience with everyone I know. You have given me peace of mind again and the freedom to travel without worry.

Our dog Louie is really sweet and full of energy but we found that he was often too much to handle for visitors to our home. Knowing that Walks ‘n’ Wags has being walking him for the past couple of years and knows him really well we decided to give their training program a try. We had tried several other training courses before but nothing had worked or was realistic for our schedule. Lisa was great; she came right to our home and showed us ways to work with Louie in our every day routine. She tailored a training program specifically to our needs and it was based on lots of praise and attention for Louie. It was super easy to put into practice and we enjoyed spending the time training him because we were all enjoying it.
After 3 sessions and lots of practice Louie has completely changed! Now he is a bundle of energy when we take him to the park but knows how to be calm and well behaved when we have guests over. I can’t believe how easy and effective Lisa’s training program was and we are so thankful for Walks ‘N’ Wags! Now our guests love Louie as much as we do.

Just wanted to update you on Rolo. He is listening to me much better and when called he listens and comes right to me. We did get the Miracle harness for me and it works wonders! So much easier to control him (with one tug) rather than my shoulder being sore all the time. I just want to say that the 5 second sniffing is the best thing you’ve taught me. I’m not so scared about walking him with dogs around because he is “allowed” to sniff.
We took him to MacDonald Beach in Richmond (for dogs) last Sunday and it’s his first time swimming! He loved the water and playing with other dogs as well. I’ve attached a couple of pictures of him.
We just want to say thanks again for taking the time to teach us and being very patient with Rolo.
Take Care!!!
